Commodore Cinema

Built 1974, this one screen independent 400 seater cinema is a family-run business and Aberystwyth institution. Home to the festival showcases, it also has a cracking in-house bar and worth the price of a pint to admire the till alone!

From the seafront, turn onto Terrace Road (by Baravin on the corner) and then first left onto Bath Street. The Commodore is the huge cinema-looking building with an enormous blue sign that says “Commodore Cinema”.

Access to the main auditorium is via a small set of stairs, though alternative step free access is available – please speak to venue staff by the front doors for more details.
