Accessibility

Little Wander is committed to continually improving accessibility at all our events.

To improve signposting accessibility features at the festival, we are pleased to introduce the following new measures this year:

Dedicated Accessibility Email

For any access queries in advance of the festival, we have created a dedicated contact email address:

accessibility@littlewander.co.uk and our box office can be reached on boxoffice@littlewander.co.uk

These email addresses can also be used during the festival weekend along with the Access Information Point.

Venue access

As a year round performance space, the Arts Centre access pages have lots of useful information on

  • Parking
  • Wheelchair and Physical Access
  • Toilet Facilities

There is also a visitor support pack which can be downloaded and includes the location and photos of all spaces plus notes to help carers or accompanying assistants.

Hynt tickets

Hynt is a national access scheme that works across arts venues in Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants. We are part of the Hynt scheme as we believe it offers our disabled customers the very best practice in fair ticketing policy and accessibility.

Hynt members need to contact boxoffice@littlewander.co.uk with their membership number before purchasing tickets so we can set you up on our box office system accordingly.

Click here to find out whether you or the person you care for are eligible for a Hynt card or click here to apply.

Access Information Point

Throughout the festival weekend, we have an Access Information Point at the Festival Box Office (within the Arts Centre building ) with a dedicated staff member to answer any queries, provide feedback or suggest improvements surrounding access at the event.

Customers with access requirements are encouraged to visit the Access Information Point ahead of going into shows. That way, our team can assist as much as possible in advance – including issuing priority wristbands where appropriate.

The Access Information Point also has a small stock of useful items (including a wheelchair, ear defenders and more) which are available to borrow free of charge (subject to availability).

Listen Everywhere Hearing Loop

The Great Hall, Theatre and Cinema will be equipped with enhanced listening support for the Hard of Hearing through the Listen Everywhere system.

Listen Everywhere provides the audience with enhanced hearing via the app on the customers own mobile device (to hearing aids or headphones connected directly to their own device) in these three venues.

Please note: mobile users will need to bring their own headphones (or hearing aids) to connect to their devices.

To access this service, you will need to:

1 Download the Listen Everywhere app by scanning QR code in the programme, from the bandstand or at the venue.

We recommend you do this in advance of your visit so it is set up and ready for when you arrive at the festival. This QR code will also be available at the venue and at the Access Information point.

2 Before the show starts, get onto the free wifi network by scanning the QR codes displayed at the venue.

3 Once connected, open the app and select Hearing Loop then connect your headphones to your device (or hearing aid users to your Loop/T setting) to start listening.

For further help or advice, please visit the Access Information Point during the festival or email  accessibility@littlewander.co.uk
